Imagine my delight when I found a collection of pieces by artist Susan Moloney in the catacombs beneath my house!
Mysteriously and fastidiously packed in a crate marked "Behavior Taxidermy", these pieces do call attention to the issues of greed, self perception, and the masks we wear, don't they? I believe these are part of Uncle Ruprecht's possessions; he went missing years ago and his effluvia has slowly been making its way to my house through mysterious channels. Most likely the work of his valet Pash. Pash is a squirrely fellow who whistles when he breathes.
"Figure 1", a one-of-a-kind piece by Susan Moloney, is made of a handmade shadow box measuring 4 5/8" by 4 1/4" by 2 1/2". The head is hand sculpted of clay and is mounted on a brass escutcheon. The other brass pieces within are found objects. Signed and dated on the back by the artist, each piece is completely one-of-a-kind and has a sawtooth hanger on the back, ready for your wall.
